Fight Candida With Diet

How can we help with diet to fight Candida and other fungi infections? Complete Guide.

The first is to remove yeast and foods in general that Candida “doesn’t like,” and this is the tactic that gives the best results.

What is an antifungal diet?

Candidiasis affects both men and women of all ages. Favorite locations are the mouth and other mucous membranes, toenails, GI tract, fingers, and even ears.

Possible symptoms can be either pronounced or mild, and the effects range from heartburn to arthritis.

Candida, as one of the root causes of metabolic problems and autoimmunity, is undeservedly overlooked.

Traditionally, I will not talk about methods of therapy – let specially trained people do that.

But how to organize a way of life, so that it does not come back again and again?

The main way to help yourself is to stop the excessive growth of fungus.

Step 1: Eliminate food provocateurs, which are:

  • Sugar
  • White flour
  • Anything that contains yeast.
  • Alcohol
  • Dairy products

Several theories suggest that fermented dairy products are best left alone, but practice does sharply contradict this. Even our favorite cheese, cottage cheese, and a glass of yogurt.

Eliminating sugar in all forms is a key point! No topinambur syrup, agave, or honey.

For a while to strangle the parasite, it’s worth keeping strict. Candida yeast cells badly need sugar to build cell walls and actively expand their colonies.

Step 2: Draw up a neutral diet, and here, too, you don’t need to think much.

Vegetables for the period of struggle are better cooked in steam, to minimize inflammatory effects. Baking until crusty and frying are more aggressive ways of processing.

Eat quality protein – meat, poultry, fish, eggs, seafood, and by-products.

Choose gluten-free cereals – that’s important here, too. Up to oatmeal. Rice, buckwheat, millet, and quinoa are optimal. But remember that a lot of carbohydrates – are not for this diet.

Therefore, you should not get addicted to fruits and cereals, no matter how useful they are.

It also makes sense to limit the sweet starchy vegetables:

  • Potatoes
  • Carrots
  • Beets

Step 3: Add candida killers to your menu.

They are different for everyone, with individual reactions and peculiarities be careful. Be sensitive to yourself.

  • Apple cider vinegar. One teaspoon per large glass of water. All warnings about allergies, gastroenterology, and generally detailed coverage of the topic are here.

Whoever is panicked about the tiny concentration of apple cider vinegar and is about to start screaming about it in the comments – first go to the kitchen and throw your traditional bag of candy and a package of dumplings in the trash.

  • Green vegetables. Both cooked and fresh. You can make yourself some green smoothies. But I would say that you have to watch the reaction – most importantly, do not allow fermentation in the intestines. Some people create such a situation with fresh vegetables, and in this case, you should not eat them, of course.

The serving size of vegetables is key. With vegetables and especially fermented vegetables, by the way, this is the first rule. By overeating vegetables, you provoke excessive bacterial growth, bloating, and stool disorders.

  • Coconut oil. An excellent natural antibiotic. If you don’t like coconut oil, you can substitute it with good-quality olive oil.
  • Garlic. The optimal cooking method is to crush it and add it to the dish 3 minutes before the end of cooking
  • Flax seeds and chia seeds. Preferably steamed or mashed, and chew well so that they can be assimilated.
  • Cranberries and cranberry juice
  • Curcuma and cinnamon

Step 4. After relief sets in, return the provocateurs carefully and one at a time.

Frank sugar, alcohol, yeast, and flour products, we – in a perfect scenario – do not consume.

Refined vegetable oil and trans fats should also not to consumed because these all provoke inflammatory processes.

Simply, when the body gets substances that require the “attention” of immune cells, it has fewer resources to fight fungi and other infections.

A fan of getting sick with an acute respiratory infection? Eliminate sugar, flour, and convenience foods, choose carbohydrates well, and eat less of them in general. The result will surprise you. It will pleasantly surprise you.

What you can get back into your diet:

  • Fruit (preferably low sugar). But do not get carried away with them, or soon your favorite fungi will be with you again. Green apples in the amount of one per day is a very good idea.
  • Dairy products.   Also, a little at a time, carefully, and test if the symptoms come back. It is very desirable to choose quality options.

How does it all work?

Apple cider vinegar helps kill yeast – that’s how its acid and natural enzymes work. It is organic apple cider vinegar that is appropriate. No more than a teaspoon a day is necessary.

Green vegetables contain large amounts of magnesium, which is responsible for eliminating toxins from the body, vitamin C, and chlorophyll. All of these support the immune system. But! Exactly until the moment when they start to give you a stomach ache. If it hurts, it means your single dose is lower. Or you have to eat heat-treated ones.

Coconut oil is a combination of lauric and caprylic acids that kill candida both internally and externally.

Garlic is rich in sulfur-containing compounds, which are known for their antifungal effects.

Flax and chia seeds provide the body with polyphenols that support the growth of beneficial gut microflora.

Cranberry juice and cranberries adjust the pH of urine toward balance, which prevents excessive fungal growth.

Kefir. Specially made from goat’s milk. Can be a great part of your healthy diet because it supports healthy microflora. But again, it’s not a solution for everyone.

Turmeric and cinnamon. Things are very interesting with turmeric in general. Its active component curcumin can completely inhibit the growth of candida. Cinnamon, on the other hand, works great in the oral cavity.

Cooked non-starchy vegetables. For me, they are absolutely the perfect choice. I love greens, but sometimes they are hard to eat and can cause some discomfort. But broccoli, zucchini, white cabbage, and cauliflower are the way to go. They contain nutrients that fight bacterial overgrowth.

Quality meat and fish. Candida and protein are enemies, so to speak. Foods high in protein and a moderate percentage of natural fats are great against candida.

And don’t avoid broths – they’re great for the intestinal epithelium, allowing you to restore its integrity and maintain healthy microflora. Meat, poultry, fish – all are good.

Which are better not to go back to?

Let’s summarize and go over the triggers again.

Sugar and yeast are the favorite foods of all types of fungi. Fruit juices make candida worse, as does “gorging” on berries and fruit.

You see, berries and fruit are not food, after all, not a base. The concentration of sugar in a big portion already exceeds the daily norm, so take them as an antioxidant supplement and a source of fiber – no more than 100-200 grams a day.

Alcohol. This is a product of fermentation, for the most part. So if you don’t want to “ferment” again, quit.

Too many grains. They, too, are broken down into simple sugars, and if there is too much of them, they can become food for bad bacteria.

Peanuts. The most frequent allergen and there is a great risk of getting a good deal of mold along with it.

Dairy products. If it’s not fermented foods, you have to clean it up. Lactose is Candida’s favorite food.

Anything that causes food intolerance. Spreading fungal infection is also a consequence of food intolerance. Find and remove the provocateur.

What else helps?

Probiotics, oregano oil, vitamin C.

Example of a quality “anti-candida” diet:

  1. Omelet with broccoli, onions, salt and pepper. A little oregano.
  2. Almonds and walnuts – 30 grams. Can be with tea.
  3. Chicken stew with cabbage or spinach. You can dress it with apple cider vinegar sauce.
  4. A cup of chicken or meat broth. Green tea.
  5. Mackerel baked with Provencal herbs. Vegetable stew or a serving of cruciferous vegetables. Olive oil.
  6. For dessert, you can eat a piece of bitter chocolate.
Getting rid of candida at the gut and brain level eliminates excess appetite. Try it! Living without yeast and sugar is wonderful!
